About Ogeechee Foundation Scholarships 2023:
Auxiliary of East Georgia Regional Medical Center Scholarship:
The Auxiliary of East Georgia Regional Medical Center is proud to sponsor scholarships for students who are enrolled full-time in specific programs. One student from the following programs will be awarded a scholarship:
- Diagnostic Medical Sonography Diploma
- Medical Assisting Diploma Program
- Pharmacy Technology Diploma Program
- Practical Nursing Diploma Program
- Radiologic Technology Program
- Echocardiography Program
To qualify for this scholarship, the student must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.3 or higher and be enrolled in the Spring 2023 semester. The scholarship amount is $2,000, which will be awarded in two equal installments of $1,000 for the Fall and Spring semesters. Four scholarships will be awarded to deserving students.
Best Friends Veterinary Technology Scholarship:
The Best Friends Animal Hospital is sponsoring a scholarship for students who are currently enrolled or accepted into the Veterinary Technology degree program at OTC. To qualify for this scholarship, the student must maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher and be enrolled full-time in the program.
The scholarship award amount is $500, which will be disbursed in two equal installments of $250 for the Fall and Spring semesters. Only one scholarship will be awarded to a deserving student.
Bobby Smith Memorial Endowed Scholarship:
The Bobby Smith Memorial Endowed Scholarship is named in honor of Bobby Smith, a respected farmer and community leader who valued education and its impact on individuals, families, and society. Bobby Smith was a native of Screven County and a third-generation farmer who served on the Ogeechee Technical College Local Board of Directors.
To qualify for the scholarship, the student must be in good standing with Ogeechee Technical College and reside in Screven County. Additionally, the recipient must have a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher and be enrolled in a minimum of six credit hours for coursework.
The scholarship award amount is $1,000, which will be disbursed in two equal installments of $500 for the Fall and Spring semesters. Only one deserving student will be selected to receive this scholarship.
Brannen Scholarship:
The Brannen Scholarship is generously sponsored by George K. Brannen and is open to male students who are currently enrolled or accepted in Practical Nursing or any closely related Health Care Science programs with a diploma or degree at OTC. To be eligible for this scholarship, the student must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher and be enrolled full-time in their program of study.
The scholarship award amount is $1,000, which will be disbursed in two equal installments of $500 for the Fall and Spring semesters. Only one scholarship will be awarded to a deserving male student who meets the specified criteria.
BTC Community Outreach Scholarship:
The BTC Community Outreach Scholarship is sponsored by BTC Community Outreach Inc. and is open to both full-time and part-time students who are enrolled in at least 6 credit hours at OTC. Preference is given to students who are either currently enrolled or have been accepted into the Computer Information Systems/Information Technology degree or diploma program, or Cybersecurity program. Additionally, the applicant must be a resident of Bulloch County and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
The scholarship award amount is $1,000, and a total of ten scholarships will be awarded.
All eligible candidates who fulfill the stated requirements will be evaluated for the opportunity to receive this scholarship. The scholarship sum will be distributed in two identical payments of $500, one for the Fall semester and the other for the Spring semester.
CFG Wealth Management, LLC Scholarship:
The CFG Wealth Management, LLC Scholarship is an excellent opportunity for students who aspire to pursue a degree, diploma, or certificate in the Business Management program of study. The scholarship is generously sponsored by CFG Wealth Management, LLC, and is open to eligible students who meet the specified criteria.
For an applicant to be eligible for this scholarship, they must meet the following criteria: they must have a minimum GPA of 2.75, be enrolled in at least 8 hours of coursework, and be in good standing with Ogeechee Technical College. Furthermore, they should be enrolled in a Business Management program of study, which includes certificate, diploma, or degree programs offered by OTC.
The scholarship award amount is $1,000, and two scholarships will be awarded to deserving applicants who meet the specified criteria.
The scholarship award will be provided in two equal payments of $500 each for the Fall and Spring semesters. This scholarship opportunity can ease the financial strain that comes with pursuing a Business Management program of study and assist students in reaching their academic aspirations.
